Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Flame Tree Trading FZCO (“Flame Tree”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit www.flametreeuae.com, join our mailing list or contact us. We handle your data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Who we are

What we collect

• When you join our list: your first name, your email address and, if you choose to tell us, what you are interested in.
• How you found us (for example a business card, a pop-up event or Instagram), and the date and time you signed up and agreed to receive our emails.
• When you email us: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
• When you browse the site, and only if you accept cookies: information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed and the type of device and browser.

Why we use it

• To send you news from Flame Tree, including our online launch, a first look at the collection and a welcome on launch day. We do this with your consent, which you give when you join the list.
• To reply to your enquiries, including corporate, hospitality and trade enquiries.
• To understand how people find and use our site so we can improve it, if you accept analytics cookies.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who processes it for us

Our mailing list is managed by Klaviyo, Inc., which processes your details on our behalf to send our emails. Klaviyo may store and process data outside the UAE, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UAE, we rely on the safeguards the law requires. If you accept analytics and marketing cookies, Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) also receive information about how you use the site.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you stay on our list. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address and the date you unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again. We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for our business records.

Your choices and rights

• You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing hello@flametreeuae.com.
• You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Email us and we will respond within the time the law requires.
• If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You can also contact the UAE Data Office.

Cookies

Analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Klaviyo’s onsite tracking) are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Signing up to our list works whether or not you accept cookies.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
